Penny Stevenson is widely recognised as one of New Zealands leading show jumping instructors and coaches nationally and internationally.
Penny has competed at the top level of show jumping and is now retired from competition. Her primary focus is on training riders and selecting quality horses for discerning clients.
For many years Penny was Chairman of Selectors and a High Performance Selector for Equestrian Sport New Zealand.
A full management and consultancy service is provided by Penny, which includes advising in horse sales and purchases, career advice, coaching methods and horsemanship.
Pennys portfolio of national and international clients is a testament to her ability to produce horses of high quality. She has the proven ability to identify potential and develop horses through informed and professional training.
Many of Pennys horses have competed with distinction in International competition, including World Championships and Olympic Games. Sales include horses and ponies for all disciplines and levels eg Amateur, Young rider, Grand Prix show jumpers, eventers, show hunters and even riding school horses. Horses sold through Penny are spread through out the world.
Penny has been instrumental in launching the careers of several international riders including her own daughter Samantha McIntosh. Samantha rode for Bulgaria for several years and has now returned to ride for her kiwi home land.
